anybody have anything from dads down in georgia just came across him and his grandson i think is getting into it now....sound pretty good on the facebook videos

I have a few of his boxes. Good boxes and can be found at a pretty reasonable price point if a guy watches.

Several box call makers to look at also: SS Customs and Albert Paul and many others you will read about on this site

He's well and still making calls. Has many woods to choose from and loves for you to stop in the shop and pick out calls in person. His acrylic slate calls and DoDad tree talker are great calls too, but its the checkered box calls you want.

That's a very nice one! He did a show here in central Ms. early 2000 and did very well here, everyone that brought a box would walk off saying thats the best call they had ever heard! I got the tree talker and a pot call that are good ones!

wish i was closer to his shop to be able to pick out a call im in contact with his grandson for some sound files of the different woods

I have a Purpleheart over Red Cedar call from Dad. It sounds good and has a much deeper tone than most custom calls I have heard. I picked it out and spent a few hours talking with Dad. It was a fun morning!

Jerry and Hogan are great to talk to. They build some great sounding calls. I have three of them. My favorite is the cedar and purpleheart combination. Hogan will take the time to go through the calls you are interested in and pick out the best sounding one for you and send you sound files of each one for you to choose from

I bought a Holly pot call from him 10 years ago in Spartanburg Sc gun show. Super nice guy to talk to.
