Title: Say a prayer please
Post by: Sir-diealot on February 08, 2024, 02:48:10 PM
At hospital with my GF she fell 2 days ago, has refused to go to hospital until today. Looks like her hip, not sure if broken or dislocated yet, have not been here long. I don't know how this is going to work out, both our places are on the second floor. She has never had high blood sugar but it was 248 today. When I walked into her room she asked me what room she was in, it was her bedroom and she didn't even recognize it.

Sorry to hear that.  This last couple weeks I've had 2-3 people I know have problems with really high blood pressure. Praying for a good report and recovery for her hip.

Yes her blood pressure is through the roof as well even though she is on two different medications for it. Sorry for half sentence, I had to talk with someone.

If her hip is hurting her to the point that she cannot bear weight, make sure they do a CT.  Sometimes there will be a non displaced fracture that will show up on CT and not Xray.  Wishing her the best.

They just let me in her room and then came to get her to do just that, thank you much for the advise.

By the way I hope your friends are doing better. I have always had very low BP but since all of this it is now high, not as high as hers is but high. Once we get her figured out I am hoping it will drop.

Thank you all, Dr. Said surgery went well,  she is doing g fine and is currently sleeping. I got her to pray with me and except Christ the other day, she said that prayer helped her not to be scared. That and they came to get her before she had time to think.

The only thing is she thinks she will be home in a day or two and there is simply no way that is going to happen, they have to get her real good with stairs,  there are something like 18 to get into my apartment and I am in the amount of pain that I will be of little use to her.

This is what I think, that will be hard for her to take, she is terrified they will keep her til she dies. I do not know if I want to be the one to tell her. I owe it to her to be the one though so I will, I just Don't know how. I hope they will let me bring our dog to see her, it helped her a lot last time. Warmer weather is coming, maybe if I can wheel her out to see the dog.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240210/487633c668f5d964d85930e5d81f6557.jpg)

Thank you. Newest is they are saying she has RSV with is a Respiratory Virus that is "Highly infectious" I still go in to see her anyway, I won't let her be there alone. Also her Insurance (Humana) sucks, nobody will do anything with her no matter what it is around here, I have had three places tell me they are known for not paying and sticking the patients with the bills. She would have been 5 minutes up the road from me for rehab and now it will be 30-40 minutes away because they are the only place that will take her insurance. We tried to get her an out of policy waiver but again her doctor won't even consider doing it because they do no pay.

Thanks everyone. Biggest problem right now as far as getting her home is she does not want to do PT because "it hurts too much." I feel for her because I have been through it so many times and from a host of different injuries so I know how it feels.

Thank you, it is looking like either she did not have much of a case of it or it was a false positive. Heck I showed more signs of it than she did.

Right now we're having all kinds of fun with the insurance companies, the one has said they'll no longer pay but they can't release her because she can't walk so I had to file a that cheaper supposed to phrase I'm looking for and appeal so now I'm waiting to hear back on the appeal and I guess they're known for turning down appeals so we don't know what's going to happen. She can't afford to pay $400 and some odd dollars a day when she only makes a little over a thousand dollars a month so we don't know what's going to happen just a nightmare.

Thank you very much. We will see how it plays out. I am not sure I will be able to leave her alone at the house and I fear the land owners won't let me on the land while on crutches anyway and I have no other place to set up. Things have just not gone well with this foot at all, just circumstances is all, nothing I can do about it. I am more concerned with her, there will be other turkey seasons.
