Title: Which gun are grabbing opening day?
Post by: lunghit on February 05, 2024, 07:58:23 AM
Come opening morning what gun are you taking from the gun safe? This year I am going to use my Winchester SX3 20 gauge with a JEBS choke and Apex TSS.

Pictures later maybe.  My season will start March 8th on a Florida WMA 3 day quota hunt.  The walk in will be close to two miles so the 301 .410 will probably be the choice because of weight.  Next hunt will be March 16th and 17th on some Florida private where the walk in will be short.  The 870 12ga will be that choice out of long tradition.  Have confidence in both guns.  Good luck to all.

If I even get to hunt the opener here in central Florida it will probably be a Rossi tuffy .410 as I will be on weight and recoil restrictions while in recovery from a four level lower back surgery.

Beretta 28 gauge A400, Jebs XF, Foxtrot 9.5 TSS with a Holosun green dot. It's been my go to for the last 2 seasons.
