Only 3 months . Let's get this season started!!! So I'm a big mouth call hunter. If your telling me to take 3 mouth calls to the woods, what are they? Not talking about any other calls, that's another post... just 3 mouth calls. Begin...

If you're a batwing fan the 2 Reed "ace" from houndstooth can do it all. The 3 calls I tote are the ace, two Reed and 3 Reed batwing from dead end game calls. Kind of wanting to try some of the goosebart batwing calls

then i'd take 3 of the same call lol. Might take one i could cut on a little raspier but thats about it. I'd rather have a backup of the same call than different ones.

I won't call the name of the ONE that I use but it's so good, you could cut 2 of the 3 reeds off of it and it would still call more in than any other call......

95% of the time I use a Primos True Double.
For softer stuff and kee kees, I'll use a HS Strut Raspy Old Hen.

I carry around 3 of sadlers. Two ghost guts of different tension and a reverse combo. All sound pure turkey.

Count yourselves lucky to have as many choices as you do. Having a small palate, I have to use the small frame calls. Not as many options. Favorites are:

I used to go down to Uncle Lee's in Greenville KY about this time of year and there would be a whole table full of HS Strut mouth calls for a dollar a piece. I'd pick up a hand full and that would last me a whole year. Sadly those days are long gone.
