I just got a new Benelli M2 20 gauge with 24" barrel. It's the 2023 version that has been updated. Knowing that every gun/choke/ammo combination is unique, I'm looking for some ammo suggestions to start off with. I'm starting with the Pinhoti 585 choke. I've had the standard apex 1 5/8 #9 recommended so far. Looking for good even hunting pattern out to 40yds. You guys have any experience with any particular brand or heard any particular brand seems to pattern well with this set up? I appreciate any insight you guys may have.

How does the gun, choke , ammo you just mentioned pattern? It might be good enough.
Haven't shot it yet, it's currently at shop getting a dip job. I Do plan on trying stock choke as well. I have ordered the apex 1 5/8 oz #9.
My M2, Sumtoy 562 with apex 9's. shot on the left I thought was a little low and adjusted it up some in the middle one, that's what I hunt and the one on the right is thirty yards.

With the relatively open 585 choke I'd try the Boss 2oz load. I shoot them out of a 575 choke in my Benelli and they do great. On my stevens they needed a 5875 choke to keep from blowing the pattern
No replacement for displacement (or pellet count in this instance)
