Title: Update on the Sticky type Rubber coating on the Nikon Rangefinder
Post by: Greg Massey on September 06, 2023, 10:31:28 AM
I called Nikon customer service, and they gave me a reference number and address to send the rangefinder to them for evaluation and repairs. So i had to give them all kinds of information and email address and i had to pay shipping to send these to the service center. Within 24 hours after they received the rangefinder they sent me an email with an estimate of repairs of 393.00 dollars. I told them you have got to be kidding, the rangefinder didn't cost this much brand new. SO in talking with a lady at the service dept by email, i told her just to forget it and return them back to me.. AT FIRST, they wanted me to pay the return shipping and after some back and forth emails with her they agreed to return the rangefinder back and they paid the shipping... I told them i have owned my last Nikon product...  I see a Vortex Rangefinder in the future.

 >:(  Looks like another company that could care less about their customers. I feel your disappointment.
