Any recommendations? Besides tactacams? Have 4 of them and have been fairly pleased. Anything out there worth a look this summer? Have had horrible luck with Moultrie, stealth cam, muddy, wild game, covert. Only interested in cellular cameras.
Thanks!

I'm sure some have an answer but are afraid to post. One of the forums delicate topics. We are firm on fair chase you know. Good luck.
Spartan cameras work really well. The would recommend them to anyone.

That was a big help to him. I'm sure he'll be running out to get one of them ASAP!
I like my Browning. It stays strapped to the same Kentucky Coffeetree year round.
I don't use cellular cameras, but have had a Mediase game cam for over a year and it takes good pics. Not the best, but maybe the best for the money. Sometimes it washes close night shots out some, but takes good night photos a bit further from that no glo flash.
I bought a second one but haven't used it yet. It may be worth looking into on Amazon to see if the cell versions is well reviewed. The prices seem right. $40 for the non cell version I bough a week ago. Example photo:

I run Cuddebacks. If you're looking for high quality pictures to be sent to you phone you wouldn't like the Cuddebacks. They send small files via text, they aren't bad, just not as good as what's on the card. The ones you get via email are better, but still not like what is saved to the cards. I personally don't care about that, if there are pictures I want to keep, I save them from the card when I pull them. The advantage of the Cuddeback is you can run up to 24 cameras in one area on one cell plan. One of the cameras is the home camera, the others send their pictures to it. Then the home camera sends all the pictures to your phone and email. As far as reliability goes I haven't had an issue in the two years I've had them. If you want to see sample pictures that are sent to the phone pm me and I'll send you a couple.
I do buy alot from these guys. They have some good reviews, and the put every camera through a series of tests before offering it for sale. When I have had technical questions they have been great about answering them. https://www.trailcampro.com/
I have a couple Bushnell Cellucore cams and very pleased with them.
I don't monkey with the cellular cams.
But my Cuz runs Tactacam Reveal with superb results.
Another buddy runs Stealthcam, Simmons and Bushnell. All of them seem to take good images.
Thanks for the information guys, appreciate it.

Moultrie Edge, I swore off Moultries for years after faulty products....but these new edge cameras perform just as good as my tactacams.
RECONYX they are pricey but worth every penny. Plus they are American made and have a 5 year warranty. Mine have performed flawlessly.
Tactacams are the only ones I've had any luck with .
I don't run the cellular version cameras, but Bushnell has been my go-to trail cams for years. They provide quality pics and last for many years. By the way Joey, trail cams are used for more than turkeys.

Yep , I caught a thief stealing cash out my dads desk in our shop with a trail cam .
Also found out a so called buddy was going behind my back on some public ground that he swore he wouldn't .
I run SPYPOINTs and Reveals. Live/Hate with the SPYPOINTs when you get them working they're great but when not they'll make a Saint cuss. I love the on demand HD pictures. Which are very good if looking on a bigger screen.
Reveals much much better and now that the better ones have the in demand and video I'm slowly switching over. Bubba
Can't contribute to this discussion on the cameras, but would only like to point out that there are states where the use of cameras that transmit real-time data/pics are illegal to use for hunting or scouting purposes. Be sure of your state's regulations on their use. :icon_thumright:

I was less than happy with the pictures from the Spypoint I ran this year for the Mennonite, I thought the picture quality was very poor. (Flex) Not sure if the higher priced models are any better but I would never buy one myself from what I saw. I would like to know if they look better on the card than they do from what they send, I never did get the card after the season.

If you're looking on a computer a little better but The HD pictures that I think you have to pay for Are some of the best I've seen. Bubba

Yes I do pretty much everything on PC I am not a huge fan of cell phones. Did you find that they actually sent you information live? I found even set to send them immediately that it would sometimes well most of the time take hours before you got notified. I will say I was impressed with how long the batteries lasted, I do not recall what kind AAA or AA I think but they lasted for several months.

Most were pretty quick actually within a few minutes and sometimes immediately. And then sometimes days later I'd get a few new pictures come through. Bubba
Have been running Tactacam(verizon) for several years now, ONLY issue I've had was I broke an antenna and customer service went above and beyond to repair. A friend has started using Spartan, they take fabulous pictures. Not sure on if he's had any issues.

Spartan has been good to me. Only brand I have tried in cell cameras.
