Title: I wonder
Post by: zelmo1 on July 01, 2023, 05:50:42 PM
I saw a lonely boy strutting today, then hours later, I saw 3 dry hens in the same spot. I wonder if he knew they where around and maybe " in the mood" again. Just a coincidence, possibly. But my turkey brain kicked in, lol. Z

I've seen them strut in the fall several times.  I always thought it was a display of dominance in the fall because it always is around other birds and only the boss birds seem to strut

Them boys know.......

Labor Day weekend 2021 (?) me and boy ran into a freshly hatched batch of peeps.  So there's a hen or two out there right now looking for some lovin' still.
