Bocote trumpet I am finishing up this weekend. Bocote makes a great trumpet, very lively tone to my ears. This is one of my original shapes.

Hey Les, I was lucky enough to find some pretty wood, always great anticipation to see it finished. Thanks to everyone, I appreciate it.

Dang Seth, I wasn't aware that Bocote was one of the problem woods, guess any of them can at some point in time. I have had some issues with Cocobolo, but can manage if I am very careful.
Absolutely beautiful call ????
In the end, I really only care how a call runs....but man Greg, that is gorgeous!!!
Fine looking horn, i bet it sounds really good. I'm with you EZ sound / tone ....

Thanks a lot EZ......I agree that how a call plays/sounds is paramount, boy, I sure have worked hard to get both (looks & sound) these days.....but the challenge to improve never ends.

Thanks, I agree that Bocote makes a fine sounding horn.
That's a wood that I have no calls in or strikers but looking at what you've done with it sure makes a guy want to go out and get one. Fine work as always my friend.
