I was wanting to get a call built from a piece of wood off of my farm. I have some 18-24 inch diameter cedar trees that I hit with roundup last summer. They are 80% brown. They still have some green on them. I hacked and squirted them.
Can you use poisoned trees for making calls or is it better to start with living wood?
I don't think its good idea
I've hunted the same public land for about 40 years there's a lot of fence post around used to be cattle I dug up a few posts that was surprisingly good enough shape for some pot calls , got in touch with a call maker , he's a engineer he wouldn't do it because of the chemical in the wood
Just my opinion
