Do any of you use Boot Dryer? How do you like them and what brand is a good one?
love them and have been using since they came out. think current brand at farm is Peet. have had this particular one for 16 years
Peet, and works great.

Another vote for peet.

Yep. Peet dryers are great. Circulate air to dry out boots effectively without overheating them.
Mine is at least 10-12 years old and still performs as well as it did on day one.

I have the Peet. You would think with it not having a fan that it would not work but it actually does an extremely thorough job. I do not have the glove attachments.......Yet.
Peet. The tubes work like a chimney, heated air rises and circulates. Overnight dry without over drying.
Another vote for Peet. Always take mine with me when I'm traveling to hunt.
Peet
I've had this one for 10-12 years and has served me well. Heat/no heat and a timer for the fan up to 3 hours. Used almost daily during turkey season and deer season.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230523/b167ae24783c7147371d2d99448f96db.jpg)

Peet! You guys won't believe it but mine is 30 years old and still going strong. It is amazing if your boots get wet they will be dry in the morning. Like others have said use them after hunting every day and drys the inside from where you sweat. Also it will not dry the leather out like direct heat does.
Peet for dry feet , hard to beat , pretty neat , if dry feet is what you seek .
Sorry , I got carried away .
My Peet boot drier is one of the first things I throw in the truck whether I'm going Turkey, Deer, or Duck
hunting. Or even fishing for that matter. They are awesome. I have the wader extensions and it amazes me that each morning my waders are warm and dry after wading and sweating in them for hours.
And the kicker is that they are cheap!!
Get one and you will be a happy camper.
Yep, just like everybody has said...Peet! Mine is a Cabela's brand made by Peet. I've had it for about 25 years and it's still going. I looked into the glove dryer attachment several years ago. It had so-so reviews. If I remember right, it seems like most of the complaints are from people trying to dry waterproof gloves....something with the waterproof membrane not letting the air circulate right or not letting the moisture out of the fingers. There might be something to that. I have a pair of waterproof gloves I wear for snow removal and they get damp from sweating. I've put them on my boot dryer attachment and left them for several days. The palm area gets dry but the fingers stay damp. The fingers are warm from the dryer, but still damp. The fingers of those gloves dry just as well by hanging them up as they do on the dryer. I've also put non-waterproof gloves on it and they will be completely dry in a day.
I have 2 dryers, a 2 post folding one and a 4 post one. With 3 kids we always are running them in the winter and spring.

We're happy with both.
Anyone ever tried the drop in peet dryers?
Another vote for Peet. Ive had mine 25yrs+ no complaints.
Peet mines at least 30 years old still works great got alot of use when kids where young drying football spikes
Another vote for Peet. Never had any problems with the 2 I have - 1 at home, and 1 at my hunt camp.

My son has an electric Peet which works great. I have a propane Peet that I bought for hunting trips with my tent. That one if pretty slow and works OK.
I have a Field & Stream Boot dryer. Inexpensive, works great. Had it for about 10 years so far....
I have the floor model Peet and also the travel model that are handy when flying somewhere to hunt.
Bought some waterproof socks this spring and while reading up on waterproof liners I found out most liners have a spray on membrane that is heat sensitive. Makes sense now that all the stuff I buy that's not Gortex starts leaking after the 1st winter when I start using my boot dryers. Pretty sure it's affected some of my breathable waders as well.
Another Peet fan. I put an inverter in the bed of my truck for it. Quite the convenience when on the road and living out of a vehicle.

Never had that problem but will keep it in mind, thanks for the tip. What brand of socks did you end up getting and is there much of a seam on them? Thanks.
I bought the Randy Sun knee high socks. Barely noticeable seems in the toe area but have you to look hard to see them. I tucked my pant legs in to my boots to keep ticks out and thorns got in and poked holes in them. I'd have to go with the gator route to keep thorns out if I were to buy another pair or 2.
They worked great until the thorns got into my boots.

Thanks. How are the seems on the tops and bottoms? I have nerve damage in my left foot pretty bad and tend to feel every little wrinkle.
Truly not trying to start an argument, but I do not understand the tuck the pants in the [boots] keep ticks out thing, it would seem it would allow them to fall into the boots vs. tying the pants at the bottom snugly especially if pants and boots were treated with Permethrin. Again truly not trying to start an argument.
Edit: I can see your method working well with the gaiters you mention.
The socks are a tight stretch fit. You can't feel the seam as they are far to small and stretch as well.
I've had experiences where the ticks bit me before they died with permethrin treated clothes. I tuck my pants into my snake boots to keep them from crawling up my leg inside my pants. I don't see me being able to tie my cuffs on my pants tight enough to keep ticks out that are crawling up my boots. This year I started duct taping my cuffs to my 10" boots when I'm not in snake country. Might start doing the same with the snake boots.
The snake boots were waterproof before I put them on the boot dryers to dry the sweat out when it was 90 degrees out 2 springs ago. Thought I'd see how the waterproof socks worked in them this spring.
As far as ticks falling into the boots. Boots are too tight for that. The thorns would collect at the top of the boot and when took them off they fell down inside and poked the holes during the next use or so.

I can completely see where you are coming from in that circumstance, those snake boots lace tight and high and that would indeed make a difference. I have thought on taping myself, I am having such a problem with my feet (Well foot anyway) I am often wearing sneakers and socks I have spayed down along with my pants.
Thank you for the information about the socks, I do not know what the surgery will do for my foot in Sept. but I know I am sick of wet feet, had my toenail come off because my feet got so wet a few years ago.

I would compare wearing the socks to wearing a heavy weight compression socks.
