Has anyone used this stuff? Pro and Cons?

No haven't used but anything that saves time now a days is marketable, so maybe works fine. I still just use the old twenty mule team borax, in the laundry department.

LOL, I am too poor for the Borax, I use salt.
I've used both Borax from McKenzy, and salt. But I'll share what the guys up at Hazelcreek told me, be sure to clean off all the meat and fat between quills, and you won't have any problems. After it's dried good, after a couple weeks. You can mix up a little auto body filler, and put some on some wax paper, and set your fan, the quill part, into the filler, add a little more on top, fold over the wax paper and weigh it down with something flat. Give it 20 to 30 minutes, and it's done.
We clean all meat and fat possible and salt it. Place on a board and use nails to spread Tail. Let it dry well. Then melt wax into the areas between quills and cover well. Have some from 25 years ago.

X2. I do the same way as Scott describes it and have never had a problem. Clean the meat and fat from the tail around the quills, borax and salt the tail and beard for a couple of months, spread the tail to the desired shape, using straight pins, on 2 inch Styrofoam and apply Bondo with wax paper behind the fan to prevent sticking then drill holes in the Bondo for mounting. Never had a problem with rancid meat, smell or bugs on the tail with this method.

Try using a wide coat hanger that has the clothes pins. Works great for spreading the tail to dry.
Used the fan lock spray this year, seems to be working well. Hang your fan out in a shed or garage, this stuff smells really strong for several days, maybe what keeps the bugs out.
