Shot my second bird of the New York season today and now I have to wait for next year to do it all again. This morning was the first kill with the new Winchester SX4 and the Apex # 9's dropped him in his tracks at 30 yards. My first bird of the season was my first bow kill turkey.Great feeling but I'm going to miss this.

Bow kill is a great 1st,that alone would make my season, congrats on tagging out. Can always jump in vehicle and head north...
Congrats friend, especially awesome to get one with a bow. Did you go with the .562 or the .570 this spring for the Winchester? I knew from your patterns that the gun was shooting really well with both. Love that bottomland dip on your gun. Very tempting to get one of those. No rush, but sometime when you are messing with the gun - could you tell me what that gun weighs suited up (sites, choke, sling and all) without the go pro on the barrel?
Anyway, congrats again on two very nice birds and I too am already missing it as it is still approximately 320 days until I can go and do it again.
Awesome birds, Congrats!

I am sticking with the .562. Took a confirmation shot at 40 yards yesterday and got 310 in the 10". The gun weights 7.4 as shown unloaded and the camera removed. Love this set up.

I anticipate turkey season almost year round. I know they have to end to start that anticipation all over, but you are right, it's bittersweet.
Congrats on a fine season gobblers... With most of us turkey season planning never stops ...

I appreciate the response and you weighing that set up. Yep, that is a sweet gun, and I remember how good it was shooting when you posted your patterns a while back. I would hunt with that gun and choke combo any day of the week.
When I was looking at the pictures, noticed that you have some really nice deer on there as well. Great looking bucks! Guess we can focus on the deer for a while now and God willing it will be turkey season again at some point.

Congratulations on both kills and a bow kill no less! Thanks for the outstanding photos as well.
If we aren't hunting turkeys, we are thinking about hunting turkeys! Maybe making calls, playing with calls, tweaking this or that, trying new ammo or chokes. Watching videos, scouting or planning OOS hunts or we are on Old Gobbler!
It's a Lifestyle!
Congratulations on a great season!
Great job! Gun & Bow kill, congrats on a fine season.....

Thanks Tom how was your season?
Pretty slick work, congratulations.
Congrats!
Better than staring at the final 4 days of the season with a tag in your hand and a lot of mistakes behind you!
Congrats on a safe and successful season!
