The box call bug has bitten me. I have not bought a one sider yet. I see where some folks make a cost style one sider and others use multiple pieces glued together for one sliders. I think one sided calls make for a great hunting call just not as versatile.
Any thoughts?
I feel the same as you. Great call just not as versatile.
What did you get from Marlin?

I have not decided what I want from Marlin yet.
I've had good success with a SSCustom one sider when gobblers would'nt respond to other calls. Easy to get great yelps, clucks, cutting and purrs
I just bought a Jeff McKamey sassafras and quila one sider. How did I do?
Had good responses to a Jeff White persimmon over cedar 1 sider.
one -siders are great. there is a good one in the classifieds right now
a versatile tool when in the right hands. my daughter has been collecting them vicariously through me for 4-5 years. PM me if you need more info regarding them
Nothing wrong with one - sider... I just felt if i was spending my money on a box i wanted as many hens as i could get out of a box ...

McKamey's a great box call maker!
He talked me out of the one sider. Said his were easy to ply. I will hopefully have it this week.
