I know some of y'all don't really believe in a slam but that's ok. I didn't set out this season with the intent to do it but more so with the intent to hunt cool places. Trips just started falling into place and next thing I knew, I was hunting all the subspecies without intending to. First Osceola, Merriam and rio all in the same season. All except the Merriam on public land. My only desire was that my Rio was a bit more peanut butter colored but hey when it has a 1 1/2" spur, I sure won't complain. He was killed in a county deemed as Rio country, just wasn't very dark. Crazy ride that started 3/8/23 with my Osceola and finished it up yesterday with a ponderosa pine Rio on 5/5/23.
