Title: 33 degrees, snow, rain, wind...YUK
Post by: sswv on May 03, 2023, 08:50:43 AM
that's right. where I am in southern WV at 8:43AM on May 3rd it's 33 degrees with a rain/snow mix and howling wind. been cold and rainy with high winds here for days and if that's not bad enough, Pocahontas County, WV is looking at 12"s by the time it's over today.  I know this weather will have some toll on the hatch and to boot, I had two coons and a red fox on a camera by my house last night. gonna get the traps loaded this evening and hope to put a couple more nest getters in the bone pile.

so, what's the weather in your part of the country?

hey Mountaineer Long Beard.   I use to hunt Ritchie County many years ago. McFarlen I think was the name of the town in the area. Westvaco property.

Yep store has been closed for a few years now.  There's not much goin on around there anymore except over memorial day weekend when the mud boggers descend on the ritchie mines.

Miserable weather in SW PA. 2 hatches in the coop today is the bright spot. Soon feathers will fly. High pressure system on the way.

My drive to Ohio Tuesday.

This morning I almost froze to death and it wasn't that cold. I sware I got frost bite in my wrong trigger finger. I gave it 100% to no avail.

Tomorrow will be a better day!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230503/2369b5cc5c63b25be42c49e19638d94d.jpg)
