Just curious what OG members do for a living. I'm a machinist myself, actually a precision grinder. I make high speed cutting tools from solid tungsten carbide, for the automotive and aerospace industry. Pretty soon some carbide tipped wood lathe tools as well. Thanks Roy
I thought about starting this conversation last week. I'm a completion engineer/foreman for a gas/oil company drilling a bunch of gas wells in AR.

I work for a fuel and lube distributor. Manage one of our docks. Nice to be on the water, but it's not close to anything. 76 miles from my house to work. Fishing is great down here.

My job title is "Archectural Field Inspector"
I do inspections of construction jobs that my bosses designed.
A lot of my work involves commercial roofing.
I make sure the contractors are installing the materials according to plans and specifications.
One of our biggest clients is the local phone company and I make sure that the contractor does not screw up and get water inside the phone company building.
I am a commercial roofer by trade.

Local truck driver. Deliver feed from feed mill to chicken houses. 5PM-5AM. In the daytime I can eather sleep or hunt. Nobody understands why I'm always too tired and sleepy to do anything except when its turkey season. I don't need sleep in April.

Wife and I have owned and operated Southern Window Technology as a glass and glazing contractor for 20 yrs. We specialize in hurricane resistant glass structures,and hurricane shutter systems, we also sell a structural glass flooring system for dance floors,stairs and walkways. Just started doing nuclear outage valve tech work a few years ago,pays good and only work 6 months a year and it usually ends right about the time turkey season opens.
I work in maintence at a laundry detergent plant.We do everything from welding pipe to maintaining the facility.
I am a Timber Buyer for a Lumber and Plywood company. I buy standing timber so I spend a lot of time in the woods year round. Even more time during hunting season!
