At the age of almost 96 in 3 weeks he killed a fine gobbler alongside his daughter Laura yesterday... Still enjoying what he loves doing and that's chasing gobblers in the Spring Woods... What awesome memories they both shared together ... Congratulation Tom Kelly and Laura ....
Amen, what a fine accomplishment. Wow
This tickles me. He's a special breed for sure. Congrats Mr. Kelly. And I hope your journey continues.
Congratulations Col. Kelly!

Thats awesome, thanks for sharing. Gives me hope as I get older..
Thats such a great thing to hear. Daughter will never forget it.
Pretty cool. Glad he can still get out there.
That's amazing. Gives me hope that I (and others of the same age) may have many more years turkey hunting ahead of us. Not confident I will make it to 96, but at least it has been shown to be possible by Mr. Kelly... :D :icon_thumright:
Still Marching in the Legion! Awesome.
Congratulations to mr Kelley- I also saw where mr lonnie sneed had killed one at 86 last week as well- I hope I can still kill them at that age ! What great ambassadors for turkey hunting!!
Definitely an amazing achievement!! I really don't think I'll see 50. Congratulations
Way to go Mr. Kelly!

That's grand.
With no sons or grandsons that hunt turkeys, this was a great thing done by a few folks to give the Colonel one more day in the woods...something all of us turkey hunters would wish for ourselves and others as age increases and the ability to get to the woods decreases
What a blessed life !
I just wanted to give a little bit more information concerning this hunt in case anyone was wondering. This bird was guided and called in by Keith Ott from chasing 49 and his brother Kyle. In fact he killed it with Keith's 28 gauge. Keith is one of my best friends. We live near each other and I see him on a regular basis. I cannot emphasize the amount of time and energy he devoted to making this hunt successful. In fact, I was giving Keith a hard time because he refused to hunt or even carry a gun for the days preceding this hunt because he was so focused on finding a accessible bird and making this a success for Tom Kelly. None of these details seem to be known so I figured I would share them with you guys because you would appreciate it. I think this is a great story all around.
