I picked up a new Beretta A300 Ultima Turkey gun yesterday and I have a question maybe somebody can clear up.
The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a rail system and there are 6 holes but one of them as you can see from the photos isn't tapped at all. Why would this be? Is there something I'm missing here? I never seen this before.
I can`t answer that for you as I have the A350 and it is not drilled and tapped. I have called their customer service before and they are responsive. Maybe give them a call. Let us know how you make out. Good day.
I remember my xtrema had that, maybe it was for a Beretta mount but I can not remember for sure? The xtrema had it's own dovetails in the receiver and a specific mount.
I understand. The rail they gave me only fits the forward two holes and doesn't cover the none tapped hole at all.
Not sure, but I have the A300 ultima 20 ga in standard form and love it. I think you will be very pleased with the gun.
Could it be a recoil lug for a proprietary mount
Finally got ahold of Beretta after waiting 1.5 hours on the phone. I was told the hole or as they called it the " Depression" was for a future sight assembly. They don't have any plugs to fill the hole they drilled into the reciever and I was told I could fill the hole with some appoxy or have a gunsmith do it.
How's that for customer service?
