He'll be spending his money on guns, calls, camo, tss, and such from now on.
No seriously I took my pastor's 8 yo this morning for youth season. Long story short he missed a great long beard with my old rabbit hunting 410 and a load of fox trot 383 strokers 9.5s. We could hear this bird gobbling a long way off so after the miss we went to it and it became a pair of Jake's. Called them in to 25 yards and he made it count. Welcomed him to the club and carried his turkey back to the truck for him. And then it was time for celebrating over a honeybun and root beer.
Congratulations that is great!!!!
Congratulations to the young lad.

Very nice Easter story.
Oh no...he'll have gray hair before he's 10!
Your wife will leave you, kids disown you, your own dog will bite you. But it sure is fun. Congrats
Congratulations to that young man. :you_rock: :you_rock:
Dark path? It's not like you got him strippers for his 8th birthday!!! Turkey hunting is a lot cheaper than women anyway.
Congratulations to the boy! And you!
Awesome!
Oh my Lawd, you have ruint that po child for life !!!!!!!!!!!!
That's awesome, congrats! I started taking a co-worker's son when he was 8. He's a couple years out of high school now, so we're several years past the youth seasons, but we still get to hook up for a hunt now and then. Memories I will have for a lifetime for sure.
:z-guntootsmiley:Super cool!
Congrats to the young hunter and to you for adding one more to the brotherhood.

WTG! He grows up and will need an understanding wife and a stable job!
Congratulations! That bird is a big as him!
I had someone do this for me when I was a much younger man than I am now. I finally got a nice jake for my first bird and I was hooked for life. Turkey hunting is one of the best things I have ever done and I will still act like a kid during Christmas waiting for opening day. He's lucky to have someone who's willing to take the time to spend with him and teach him the ins and outs of turkey hunting. Congrats on a great hunt.
Love the photo of the kid with his turkey. Thank you Sam for taking the time to get him hooked on turkey hunting.
Congratulations to the young man on his success. Congratulations to you for being a quality mentor and starting him off right. Memories last a lifetime, especially good ones. Well done!
Jim
Pour kid never had a chance. He'll talk about it for weeks with a big old smile. So will the kid! Thanks Sam
