Title: Another vest thread. Final Rise turkey vest
Post by: Jmillwood21 on March 15, 2023, 02:55:49 PM
All the talk about new products or vest on the market I came across this one.  I tried to type in the search bar and nothing popped up so if there's mentions if this out there before now I'm sorry!
They sell upland vests and have a model in bottomland now. Looks like marsupial has one that is similar but I'm a non camo option.  Pricing is pretty high but what isn't anymore.  Just wondering if anyone has looked into these or possibly has ordered one. Not sure how long they have been on the market! Not much info out there yet.

Looks a lot like the Tetherd M2.  I like it, but when I selected all the options, it was $460.  I already got a Fox vest for that much...this one ain't that to me.

I have one. It's an awesome upland vest, not so much a turkey vest. The pockets leave much to be desired, too small. The seat sucks and attachment sucks. The M2 looks like a better Molle style vest. Final Rise are great folks and it's a wonderful vest for what they do, upland birds. But it leaves a lot to be desired for a turkey vest. I paid the money for one and wanted to like it. I am fortunate to be a avid upland hunter or I'd be kicking myself paying that much for a not great turkey vest. IMO.

Yea I was thinking the same thing.  The pockets look to be just pockets.  Where as the m2 has Velcro to attach inside.  Too much for not the perfect setup I believe. Thanks for the feedback.

The seat looks extremely thin, more like a"Keep Dry" cloth, not much padding. It does look well made though...

I watched a video and he said this seat is better than any of the thick ones. But it does look really thin. And I doubt it's as comfortable as bigger seat options. Maybe for a quick sit down would be ok. I don't think I'll buy one. But good to see other options similar to this becoming available.

The seat is as thin as it looks. Maybe 1/4"-3/8" thick. I ran mine without it last year instead of having to deal with it. The attachment and deployment just really aren't that great. I think that's one of the stronger points about the M2 is the seat looks much better and the attachment/deployment is better.

Yea looks like you'd have to reach back and unclip the seat to get it to come down. Where as the m2 will flip down. Then you'd have to reach back and reclip when making a move.

I bought a Final Rise vest for upland hunting chukars and quail. Have only had it one season, but I really like it. Fits great as I'm hiking up the mountains. Same for my buddy who turned me on to the vest and he hunts a bunch. High quality stuff.

Now, as a turkey vest? Mmmmmmmm... I don't know about that. Myself, at least. It's all about how much you carry and how you like your pockets. Maybe they have some special pocket setup for that model?

In April I'm wearing a Badlands turkey vest. Everything is high and snug, good when sitting.

Take look at the Grounded 2.0 Turkey vest. I bought one to replace a 15 year old Ol Tom and I like it a lot so far.
