Title: Prois Turkey Vest
Post by: TalknTurkey on March 13, 2023, 05:18:36 PM
Like many on here, I've been on the search for years to find a suitable vest. Years ago, I picked up a Field & Stream vest from DSG on a whim. Several years and vests later, I've yet to find one that I prefer over it. I'm smaller than average build, which is part of the issue as a lot of OSFM vests are just too big on me. Over the past few years, here's all the vests/packs I've tried but ended up selling or sending back:

Badlands, K&H RNG 200, OVG Turkey Pro chest pack, Sitka Equinox

I had high hopes for the M2 but after watching all the videos, I'm still not sold on it. But in one of the videos I watched, it mentioned how Jake has been wearing a women's vest because of it being more streamlined. That got me curious, so I started searching around and came across an interesting option. There's a brand called Prois that makes women's hunting clothing. They have a turkey vest that actually looks to be pretty well thought out and it's half the cost of the M2.

So I might be crazy, but I decided to go ahead and buy one. There's nothing on it that screams "ladies" vest, so I will gladly put my masculinity aside if it means finding a vest that fits me and works for my style of hunting lol...I'm thinking it may also fit better with me being vertically challenged. I was just curious if anyone has any experience with this vest by chance?

Nothing wrong with that if it fits and works out for you......good luck with it......

Just saw the vest on line, looks exactly like the M2. Lot less money, looks very well made.....

Turkey vest for kids suck too.  I got my son one from "she" outdoors years ago and he still uses it even though he's bigger than me now and could use an adult one.

Will post an update on the quality once I receive it...but I also thought it appeared to be pretty well made. I couldn't find many videos or additional photos of it, so I'm still not exactly sure of the pocket layout. I'm hoping there's some pockets inside to separate pots/strikers/etc rather than them just all being thrown into one big pouch.

Now days you can just identify as a woman so no harm on buying a woman's vest.

If it helps you hunt more effectively or comfortably, go for it.  Hope it works for you.

I'm not trying to knock anyone's style or preference but when I see this vest all I see is a military load carrier. You could get a FLC(Fighting load carrier) or riflemans vest for CHEAP at a surplus store along with a plethora of organizational molle pouches.

Hey, if you're willing to give up your man card to get a vest that fits, I'll support you to the very end. Diversity is our strength (didn't somebody important say that?).
Maybe you could get one of those turkey purses and a little skirt to put up around you when you sit...

Those call pockets on the M2 look like they stick out way roof at to me. I hate a double stacked pot call pocket.
