Who makes a good quail call?  For both quail calling / hawk squealing?

For western quail Jim Matthews makes great calls. His mountain quail call could work for bobwhite, but I'll be interested to see other suggestions.

Some guys use teal whistles or those little stamped inverted cone calls, but---at least for bobwhite quail---but the best sound I have found is a Palmer's quail call (if you can fine one).  Like trumpets and wingbones, they are a suction call.

Not sure if he sells them, but Ralph Permar makes one. He's got a few videos on his website of them. Like all Ralph's work, they're top notch.

You can do a pretty darn good quail call on a Buck Gardner 6-in-1 whistle. For the money ($6), they're hard to beat.
