Has anyone had any long term issues shooting TSS through their factory Benelli choke? I had someone tell me it will swell? I shot my new m2 over weekend and to 40 yards it gives a decent hunting pattern plenty to kill a turkey. I'm not really into wasting hundreds on shell and choke combos if I don't have to. Just curious if I'm safe to keep using my factory full?
I've never even heard of a choke tube swelling from shooting small TSS pellets, much less experienced it, and have been shooting TSS exclusively since 2009 with choke tubes a lot tighter than full. Most swelled choke tubes come from shooting large steel shot, eg BBs, BBBs, Ts, etc through tight chokes as the pellets can bridge as they pass through the choke exerting extreme outward pressure on the tube. Small TSS pellets flow through chokes just fine without causing problems IME.

I'm not an experienced TSS shooter, but I was thinking the same thing. I thought before dropping more money on chokes I'd just try the full since I read TSS doesn't like to be choked too tight. Surprisingly at 40 yards it gave plenty to kill. 25 yards, even with the full, it was super tight.
Welcome. Yes, TSS is very forgiving with regards to choke. My O/U's "open" barrel will do over 100/10 @ 40 through a light mod choke with only 1.25 oz of TSS 9s. Most people would do well to open up a little on the choke instead of pushing for 350 or 400/10, which can cause misses in close. Don't ask me how I know. ;D

I don't think so. I've shot a factory full on a crio+ 20 quite a bit and it didn't deform. Choke was putting 230 in the 10".
Put some white lithium grease on your choke and threads, and check it from time to time.
