I have some Carry-Lite decoys that I want to touch up. I have an airbrush and I do a lot of deer taxidermy but I use water based paints (Lifetone Hydromist) for that. I don't want the paint to scratch off very easily and while I haven't tried it yet I don't think the Hydromist would work well on plastic decoys.
Can anyone recommend a good airbrush paint that they know will stick to a cleaned/prepped surface on the plastic Carry-Lite decoys and not chip/scratch real easily?
I have used Krylon Flat clear with good results on my re painted duck decoys with good results -In fact it worked so well , I did it to all the new duck decoys I purchased . I would use 2 -3 light coats , test it out on a hidden spot to make sure there is no glossy finish
Using Clear Flat will cut down on the scuffing they get while in the decoy bag
good idea
