Title: UltimateCamo thoughts
Post by: wyetterp on February 22, 2023, 03:34:30 PM
I remember ultimatecamo being around for years but always tend to forget about them. I did several searches & can't find many reviews.

Does anyone have anything made by them that can speak of the quality or durability? Really any info on them would be appreciated.
I'm curious why there aren't way more reviews which makes me a little skeptical.

I'm perplexed that a made in the USA company with killer, realistic, pattern doesn't have more of a following. Seems perfect for hunting.

I kinda like the looks of the real oak tree pattern. Was thinking about ordering the boot gaiters, hat & two finger gloves to see. Also, I don't want to waste my money if there are issues with the company or products.

Not a fan of anything cotton, but they do seem to have some other materials too.

Just can't find much info or reviews.

Does anyone have anything from them?

Thanks!

I have two sets, but this will be their first season in the woods so I can't give an honest field review.   First thoughts are I'm going to like these.  I really like their reverse wear hat facemask combo.   Will know more in a couple months.

I'm sorry, I was wrong.   Ignore my above post.  What I have is Quick Camo.

I may have found their problem.  I've never heard of them.  I googled them.  Had to go to three sites to actually see their camo.  Even their own website didn't  have an obvious link to see their stuff.

I found it several hits down on Google, on Etsy.   They need a new marketing strategy and a much better website.

Big A for effort, at least. I was like wait they also have a reverse wear hat facemask?

I do like some quik camo though, so thanks for the heads up. Hey did your hat come with a black embroider or yellow? I heard it's black now but they still show yellow on the site.

Right!!! I would think they'd be very popular from the details I see about them. Being that I found where they have been around for a while makes me wonder what's up.

Stuff appears to look good though. Idk.

Both of mine are a yellowish tan looking color.

So the company was founded by a gentleman in Maryland who I've met several times.  It was very popular in this area and he was growing the company but was having issues with getting his orders from the manufacturer of the clothing because he insisted on using USA made material and labor.  He ended up selling the business to a friend of his who was on the pro staff.  The new owner Paul has also stayed to the made in USA pledge and has been slowly adding more items.  You order from it's Etsy page.

I have the cotton pants, shirt and jacket and also the fleece set and have worn them for years.  It is a killer pattern in the woods and blends very well.  The material has held up well and not faded.  The cotton pants can run a tad on small size but everything else runs true.  I think you'll be happy if you try it and you'll be supporting a good family man that's trying to run an American business.

Good to know that background on the company.  I will remember them next time I'm looking for camo.

Okay that makes sense. Thanks for sharing that. So Paul must be the saddle hunter. I saw some really cool saddle related stuff too.

I saw the etsy page, but I also found a page for ultimatecamo & ezoutdoors blended together. I'm going to try the gaitors & gloves for a start.

Man I hope he gets stuff ironed out. I could see it being more successful if he puts the work in & finds a solid foundation & good customer service/marketing. I hope him the best. Made in the U.S. & a realistic tree pattern should be successful.

Hope he comes out with some options for non cotton. I hate it with a passion. Way to hot & humid in the South & takes forever to wick.

Anyway, thanks for filling us in.

Paul is a great guy, I wouldn't hesitate to buy stuff from him if you are in the market.  He's a hardcore turkey hunter so you know he's not gonna push a crappy product.

I ordered from the etsy page, but probably should have from his ultimate camo page. I just thought there was a reason to order through etsy like you mentioned. After digging  into it he links everything from his FB to his page & not the etsy.

Not sure if it really matters, but if I order again it will probably be on his page. The odd thing is they show different in stock items & sizes available.
