Title: Tidwe Vest with seat cushion
Post by: TBoo on February 21, 2023, 08:04:44 PM
Have been looking for a new vest that will protect my pot calls better.  Have looked at the Will Primos signature series, Grounded Impact, M2, and the Ol' Tom Gunslinger.  Vest cost have gone through the roof kinda like truck prices.  Came across the Tidwe Turkey vest with seat cushion for $79.  Anyone have one or know anything about it? It seems to be a good budget option.  Thanks in advance,  Terry

I have the one with the removable frame and hunted with it last year. Held everything very nicely and was plenty adjustable and comfortable..have since gotten a run and gun 200 to cut some weight and a more open design to breath a little but wouldn't hesitate to go back to the tidewe if need be!

It is a nice vest. I had one. Just real freakin heavy man...

If you hunt easterns and do do a whole lot of walking, it's fine.

If your gonna grind for a month in a half and cover 5+ miles a day, to heavy.

Thanks for all the help everyone.  I agree that it does look a little heavier then the others mentioned probably with the exception of the Primos.  Currently, I do only hunt the Easterns here in NY, but hopefully with retirement coming in the next couple years, that will change.  For the price of the vest being more reasonable, it may be worth a look.  Wish it still was available in Bottomland.

I would say if you're looking for a lighter vest, I haven't been able to hunt with it but the run and gun is lighter and it holds my halloran pot call snug. They are on amazon for 80 and bottomland
