What is your favorite pot call combination for locating gobblers?
Surface- Black anodized aluminum
Wood- Walnut or black mahogany
Soundboard- Glass or Crystal
Striker- Bubinga or Ebony
This year it was a Glen Marrer glass over slate Zebrawood pot with my Black Locust striker.

This is Glen's striker not the one I used.
The call I struck birds with the most this year was a Bobby Vanover (Hillbilly280) copper over glass in a cocobola pot, using a zebrawood striker from Bonjour.
I havent found a call maker yet that makes a bad aluminum. I say aluminum ( no matter the pot) with a hard striker will get it done. They will scream and cover some long distances
For me it was copper over slate witha zebrawood striker....in an osage pot.

This year and for the last ten my best call for striking gobblers has been Southern Outlaw Game Calls glass over slate in an osage pot with Woodhaven laminated striker.
