Title: Good hat for the patch?
Post by: deathfoot on February 18, 2023, 10:59:34 AM
I'm debating putting the newest OG patch on a hat. The issue I'm having is finding a decent hat. I'll admit, I haven't shopped for a hat in a long time. I still have my favorite go to. But what I've noticed is hate don't hold form as good as they once did..or at least the ones I've had. Most hats have been gifted to me.

Has anyone here put an OG patch on a hat? And does anyone here know of a good hat to purchase? I tend to like the old style baseball hat style. Not the mesh back. Not opposed to a mesh back if it holds up well tho. By that I mean, one I can toss around and if I happen to put my coat on it in the back seat it will pop back out and not look squashed. Lol

Type Richardson 112 on Amazon. That's what most hats are these days. Only 6-8$

I put the 10th Anniversary Patch on a hat I got at Wal-Mart, loved the way the hat fit so I had my friends wife put the patch on it for me. One thing I learned, make sure the hat does not have a plastic bill if you are going to iron it on. It changed the way the hat fit a bit so it is not as comfortable as it was, I have had to get used to it. I only wear it when I go to The Northeast Call Makers Summit so it has remained in good shape. I would have liked to have gotten a cooler hat than this one turned out to be, you would think a hat with this much mesh would be cooler but it does hold more heat than expected. Still a good hat though. By the way, I have not seen what I would call a quality hat since the 80's

My favorite is the legacy hat.

I looked. Then I looked at a hat that was recently given to me by a vendor and it was a Richardson 112. Don't like the mesh back.
