Title: Fundraising on behalf of Alabama Wild Turkeys (20 Limited Pot Calls)
Post by: TurkeysForTomorrow on February 12, 2023, 03:23:46 PM
Turkeys For Tomorrow was officially launched on February 20, 2021. From that day, we have proudly claimed our sole mission is to better the outlook for wild turkeys across the United States. From the beginning, we were founded by turkey hunters, for turkeys. The purity of our mission has garnered the support of many brands across the outdoor industry. Many of those brands are household names that have been around for decades. Many others are names that we had never heard of, but have the same goal as us which is to leave it better for turkeys than we found it. Those brands may be small in comparison to names like Realtree, OnX, Sitka, Tetra, Apex,— the list goes on. But these small brands are vital to our goal of uniting turkey hunters to that main goal, a better outlook for wild turkeys.

As an example, we point out one small brand, Harmony Game Calls. In 2022, the guys at Harmony approached TFT with a novel concept. It was such a great idea that we agreed on the promotion after the first conversation. The idea was to build 20 custom pot calls to be sold and the proceeds to be used to fund research in Harmony's home state of Alabama. Each call would bear a silver band around the pot showcasing the corresponding band number of one of the first 20 hen turkeys captured, banded, and GPS transmitter fitted in Alabama.

Today February 12, marks the end of the auction of the first of those 20 calls. If you're interested, we are accepting bids on our website, turkeysfortomorrow.org. The remaining 19 will be sold on a first come first served basis beginning February 13. At Turkeys For Tomorrow, we are open to any suggestions on how you can help us help wild turkeys. Fundraising is our job. We rely on scientists, state agencies, and private land managers to tell us what needs to be researched and where. We also rely on them to advise us on habitat initiatives. We rely on hunters to give us feedback, good or bad, so we can better tackle critical issues facing wild turkeys. We encourage anyone interested in our mission to direct message TFT. We will listen to your thoughts and work with you if possible. We look forward to building strong relationships with many more of you on this forum and open the door for potential partnerships.

Nice looking call and display.  I suspect you will have more interest from folks that want to get one of these than you have units.  Great idea.  Hope it raises some significant dollars for turkeys in Alabama, and also leads to more folks stepping up with similar ideas and products.  :icon_thumright:

$875!  Glad it raised some money for the cause.  It will be interesting what the other 19 units sell/sold for.  I would assume it will be a pretty penny.  Not in my price range, but I am sure there will be plenty of collectors that would be clamoring to get one.   :icon_thumright:
