Received this maple burl trumpet from Rick this weekend. It's my first from him. It's very easy to draw yelps, clucks and I'm working on my kee kees for the fall. The mouth piece is buff horn and he puts a two part stopper on it. His craftsmanship is really very impressive.

congrats on a nice looking trumpet ...
Nice looking trumpet
That maple looks sharp
Looks nice, working on that myself and not only on a air run call.

I got the average kee kee down on this trumpet, at least the three note whistle. Now I'm working on the follow up "dog bark" jake yelp. Its difficult to go from the a high pitched squeal to a raspy bark but the trumpet's more than capable, I don't know about me. I like the shape of the bell on this trumpet (Buckneresque?) It's ultra ergonomic for restricting air flow for the kee kee. This thing is a pretty darn good call.
