Seems like just about any choke will produce a killing pattern at 40+yards with TSS. I would be interested in seeing some 20-25 yards patterns posted with the 40 yard patterns. I seem to miss the quicker chip shots more than the 40 yards shots.
Thanks
20 and 55 with a 21" barrel 870 youth and a .585 choke. Didn't want to go too much choke so I had at least a little margin of error at 20 but killed at 60(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220715/a8605af8f53907af4c8d2bb5c751e4f3.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220715/aba477b95288778ed52b27a0118c8fe0.jpg)

I built an O/U just for this reason. I wanted a killable pattern for both short and long range. Top barrel is tight and the bottom barrel is open
Here's my 25 yard pattern. Volleyball size at 25 is good for me.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240628/16571d8fde973ab6e52895ed648a0936.jpg)

It has been a while and I have no pics but I didn't think the difference at short range was much different from a .580 to a .555, so I shot the .555.
If I miss a closer bird that's on me, I thought I had around an 8 inch pattern at 15 yards?
