Title: Gobbling Jake video
Post by: sugarray on June 15, 2011, 02:10:19 PM
We took the kids and my older brother's kids to the WV State Wildlife Center.  Of course I took my mouth calls.  They have a hen, jake, and 1 small poult.  I started calling and he strutted then gobbled.  I got 2 videos.  Pretty neat to hear the "stunted" gobble of the jake.  Hope you enjoy and get some good learning.

Also, critique the calling.  Be brutal.  How could it be better?

Hard to make him gobble. In the 2nd video he really jumped on that high pitch yelp...maybe something to make note of.

Hey your calling is sounding alot better. Your sound is good. Your cadence is a little too fast but I think it is much improved.

Just quit turkey hunting.  Take it from me, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
