Title: Class of 2023
Post by: Yoder409 on June 05, 2022, 06:01:55 PM
Nice group of candidates for next spring.  These boys...........added to the remaining longbeards should make for a good season next year.

From my personal observations and a multitude of reports from others, there is going to be a great crop of 2 year olds next year for states east of the Mississippi. Very much needed!

My observations and from what I've been hearing in the northland, things look good up here as well. Would be nice to put another good hatch on top of it this year.

Those Jakes have some size to them, Jakes I saw this year were skinny. Good luck with them Don.

My mom raised some smart kids too, unfortunately I was brought up by my dad. But nice little rafter there, money in the bank!

Love to see that. Not many jakes here at all. I am concerned because i usually call in a bunch. Only one all jake bunch this year.  :OGturkeyhead:

I saw quite a few jakes as well this season.  Hope they make it to next spring.

I saw more jakes this year in Oklahoma than I have the past 16 years. Just hope we can have half the hatch we had in 2021.

 Them S.O.B's!!!

I had my belly full of them at almost every turn this year. I had to set up on far side of them to give a LB a chance to get to me before they would flog him.

Had the flogging action several times and a few LB's abort their mission because of the S.O.B's gaining ground on him.

Next year I should have two year olds out the gazoo!

Always nice to see at the end of the season. Last year I had 5 that I let go that were the only ones I had seen all season and this year I had the best season I have ever had. Only saw one jake this year, he was with a couple of hens and putting on a show for them and myself. Wish I had had my camera.
