Grace gets her first ever gobbler.
Tuesday I got back from my Ohio turkey trip where I didn't kill one for the first time in the 6 yrs I have been going. Still wanted to keep hunting here in NC but was out of tags. Grace still had her tags to fill and had never gotten one but due to her having surgery 2 weeks ago, I thought her season was over but I was wrong. She said she wanted to go this morning so we did.
Had 3 gobblers come out at 200yards up the field but would just gobble at my calls. Finally at about 7:30 they started towards our direction. As soon as the lead gobbler seen our decoys he came in on a dead run. Grace got on him and made an awesome shot at 7:52am. So proud of this young lady as she never gave up.

Thanks everyone. Grace has read all your congratulations and also says thank you. Best moments in my life is with my family and I hope that between my 2 daughter's, I will have a hunting partner for life.
