Title: Not Under Warranty!
Post by: guesswho on June 12, 2011, 09:37:58 AM
Tomorrows the day I have to take the body in for some repairs. To bad I've been out of warranty for a while. At least I'm getting a three for one deal. Rotator Cuff, Labrum and Bicep Tendon. I think I may opt for the extended warranty this go round. Hopefully this will keep me running on all cylinders for a few years.   Good thing I type with one finger ;D

Good luck with the procedures, Ronnie. I am sure that the doc can do those in his sleep. Stick with the rehab, and you'll be good as new in short order. Good luck, My friend..Mike  :cross2:

This will be surgery #10 for me in the last 10 years so I'm used to all of this and I do exceptionally well with recovery.

Some guy just left a message on my recorder wanting to come out and set up a CPM chair.  This is something new and I have no idea what it is.  Oh well, should be interesting.

The guy just dropped off the CPM Chair, Cooling Pack, and Feet Compressors.  Looks like something you would pay to ride at Disney.  I don't know what feet compressors have to do with shoulder surgery, might have something to do with my diaphram I never could find.  I'm thinking about setting it up in the yard and charging the neighborhood kids a dollar to ride it.

Wow, that's quite the set up.  Usually bring the wife/girlfriend in and instruct her on how to do passive motion for a person.

Good luck with everything.  Made me think of my Dad and me. He told his surgeon he would have to postpone his set date to take care of some business (turkey season) And I tried the same with my surgeon but he wanted to know what was so important, so I told him and he said he was gonna destroy my turkey season  :newmascot:

This turned out to be a cluster.  Doctor said there was more damage than he had thought.  Oh well, let the healing begin

Good Luck with the rehab.  That just looks like all kinds of fun.  Better now than March or April.

I worry about missing an entire archery season anytime I have any sort of shoulder pain.

It's actually a cooler/cold machine.  The doctor said it would feel good, and he's right.  I wound up with two of them so I'm taking full advantage.  One for my shoulder and one for my, well my knee! :D  Supposed to help with swelling also, now I'm a little concerned about that part

The white things sitting in the first chair picture.  Their rigged up to the cooling machine somehow.  I probabl won't be able to use them because I almost cut my Achilles Tendon into a couple of weeks ago.  Pretty nasty cut and I superlued the cut instead of getting stitches, and it's still a little touchy.

How's the Rehab going Ronnie?

Gaining any flexibility? Has the swelling gone down?

Hope all is well.

Thanks for asking.

Doing real good.  Looks like I'm way ahead of schedule as far as the flexibility goes.   Swelling was minimal and very little pain.  Not enough to warrant taking any medication so overall I can't complain. :icon_thumright:
