Just thought I'd share some pix and info with fellow fan-addicts. On the last day of FL spring season, I pulled the trigger on a big Eastern Tom. The details, 3" Federal TSS (I finally drank the kool-aid) at 61yds. Beard - longest strand to 12", spurs 1" & 1.0625", wt 20# (bathroom scale-which I'm not sure about). I was somewhere east of Hwy 19, near Monticello, FL.
He was roosting in a water filled bottom. He came into a clearing I'd scouted and hunted 2 days before. The only difference was today, I parked the truck 250yds away, held the gate so it wouldn't "moan & squeak" and walked in using the moon light. He cut loose at 0630. I soft yelped 3X only after two other real hens answered his morning gobbles.
3 hens went to him as he strutted and gobbled. After 10mins of socializing, the hens drifted uphill and big boy followed. As soon as he got in the clear, I thought " Let's see if the TSS can do what they say" I can answer you "Yes". It is potent turkey medicine.
FYI one rule of this forum: don't post kill distances past 40 yards.
Gotcha.
60 is the new 40.
Not for everyone.
Congrats on the bird.
Congratulations, you got it done.
Now go get another pilgrim.
Congrats! Sounds like a solid plan and good decision making based on knowledge of bird and equipment.

Congrats. Nothing better than a last day bird.
Nicely done on a good bird!
Congrats
Some of the purists on this forum will ignore this post, or give you grief about TSS and the distance.
Not me. I say congrats on your gobbler!!
