Just ordered me a Stevens 301 20 ga compact with the 22" barrel. Need me some choke / load recommendation starting points. Last minute order . Season opens soon lol impulse buy

Don't know about the shorter barrel (mine was 26") but Apex Ninja and a .570 Sumtoy in mine was 286/197 and beautiful, even pattern....

I have always had luck with Indian Creek Chokes. My buddy has the same fun and shoots an Indian Creek .562 and Apex #9 and it gets killer patterns. Also shot the Small Town Blend #7.5/9 really good also.

I had one, with an indian Creek .555 and apex 9's was getting around 310@40yards

I am looking to get a 301 to tinker with this summer and really want to try Boss Tom #7s and the Kicks Gobbling thunder
