Title: Custom Gun Work
Post by: coonhunter on April 14, 2022, 03:24:36 PM
Looking for recommendations for someone to tap and supply a choke for a single barrel 20ga?  Sumtoy is not taking any work until they get caught up.
Thanks

I've got an old savage 94 that I've thought about getting done. I don't know if it's possible or not but it would be nice to carry.

I've had choke work done by Mr. Orlen on two occasions.  The first time it turned out fine, the second was a mess.  I know many people are happy with him, but I won't go back.

Maybe you have your reasons... But to tap-50$, thread 100$, ship 60$, buy a choke 60$. Why not just buy a new gun that is tapped and threaded and not worry about any of it?

I have used him once and had a good experience. Can you give any details so we wont  make the same mistake?

Totally satisfied by the work William at Sumtoy has done.  I would send it to him when he's ready for more work.

I have thrown that idea around. But I have this 20 that I really like and I don't have an use for it in any other capacity?  So I figured I might as well put it to good use. And it probably built a lot better than any new single shot I could buy.
