For those that are not familiar with this base, It is one of the lowest mounts you can get on a shotgun. The bottom of the base is flat and it attaches with 2 8-40 screws(included) on .50" centers. Since most shotguns have either a flat spot on top or a recess leaving two flat edges, it can be added to most shotguns with a simple drill and tap job. I do like to use longer screws when there is room, especially on aluminum receivers, but I've used the supplied screws many times as well. This is one of my favorite mounts for a FF. I'm moving over to Holosun and no longer need these mounts.
