Something I tried several years ago and thought I'd share. Adding an extra strap to your Gobbler Lounger makes it so you can carry it on your back, like a back pack. I used some strapping off a broken ratchet strap. Distributes that 7+ lbs across both shoulders and keeps shoulders free for your gun/decoys and hopefully a turkey.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220328/f756280dfd8ca430bae2bbf04ed38f6e.jpg)

Good idea !

I said a dozen years ago the guy that is able to make a gobbler lounger with carbon tube legs will become a millionaire !!!
Oh yeah, rigged mine up like that many moons ago, decided to go back to my homemade butt pad though, way easier to haul around the mountains. Another thing I did to my shoulder straps, was add a center chest strap/buckle (attached to each shoulder strap) that cinches it up solid as can be. I will get a picture tomorrow.
I started using the academy brand chair about 4 years ago, it actually comes with backpack straps. When I first saw them I bought a couple and they have lasted even though im a pretty big guy
Great idea, mine always slips off my shoulder when walking in. gotta look in my whatnot box to see if I have something to rig it up.

Heck any light metal type legs too. I've made this suggestion to Kifaru and no one over there quite gets it. If you could have the typical gobbler lounger that sits low to the ground but weighs 3 lbs....I agree...hunters would buy it up.
An aside, I 50/50 carry my tactical tat'r vest or if I think I'll set up anywhere longer than 45 minutes....I carry my Kifaru styker backpack as my vest with this chair I got at REI....not as light as I want but lighter than a mossy oak or wal mart lounger. Weighs 4.8lbs. Carry my shotgun with the gun bearer and it really doesn't feel too heavy for run and gunning.

I stuffed mine down in the game bag of my Tactical Tat'r vest and carried it the last couple of trips out. Seemed to work pretty well for me. Times ten on the lightweight lounger. The hiking chairs don't seem so easy to set up and take down. The company that makes the first 3 pound gobbler lounger type chair will make a lot of money. I would pay quite handsomely for that.
I bought an AM set of backpack straps with chest strap that had metal clips on all four attachment points and clipped them to the four D ring attachment points on my Browing turkey chair and carry it over my turkey vest like a back pack. Used stealth strips, un-heated shrink tube and electrical tape to silence all points of contact that could make noise.
Works awesome.
