Each year I pick a ton of wild asparagus that we steam, grill, etc.. Last year I began pickling it but my recipe was just o.k. We really like it in our old fashions up here in WI. (Whiskey, soda, bitters drink) Makes a good garnish. If any of you have a good pickled asparagus recipe could you post it or send it to me? Thank!
Steamed with butter is the only way I have ever eaten it. I reckon pickled would be great. I sure do like pickled okra though.
I peel it, roll it in olive oil, salt it, and toss it on the grill for a few seconds.

I run over it with a lawn mower.
I googled it and there are a bunch of pickled asparagus recipe's on line.
I love it grilled, very good. Tried a few of the on line recipes. Thanks. Just looking for some great ideas. Kind of a northwoods thing where we put food in our mixed drinks because we drink so much then we get a meal with it... :happy0064:
Up here we can't afford to mow anything over with the lawnmower. Growing season is only 3 months so we have to grab anything green we can get while we can! :z-guntootsmiley:
If any of you happen to WI over the winter please look me up. I'd love to cook you a nice venison meal with fixins while fishing out in the ice shack. Wood stove, all the comforts of home! :z-bdayparty: ;)
