I got out this morning and got some audio for my first podcast of the year. This was at the Honey Hole. I had a tree full of hens to my left and a tree full of gobs to my right. It took about a half hour for everyone to come together and make things happen, but Mister Gob got the deal closed. It was pretty self-explanatory, so I just let the tape roll.

Thanks! I'm on my way out again this morning with my trusty umbrella mic. I hope to record another flydown before the weather moves in.
I appreciate your appreciation.
Well, all glory is truly fleeting.
I went back out to the Honey Hole this AM, even got there earlier than yesterday. The gobs had moved about 100-200 yards along the ridge. The hens were nowhere. I got a wee bit of gobbling from the near roost and some more from a roost about 400-500 yards away and came in.
You really have to be there at the right place and the right time.
Do you have your Podcast on Spotify?

No, I only do a few a year. So far, my weblog has been sufficient.
Maybe I'll investigate Spotify or some other venue now that I'm an old retired fart.
By the way, here's the Shamanic Podcast Repositor (https://genesis9.angzva.com/?page_id=2670)y.
I think this is the tenth season I've done them.
Nice audio! Thanks for taking the time and willingness to post it, much appreciated!

You're most welcome. I don't know if this is true about the rest of the world, but the pre-season seems to be the best time to listen to hens. and the best time to make this sort of recording. The previous week, those hens were just as raucous. I just had battery trouble with the recorder and didn't get anything laid down.
In another week, we'll start getting into the run-up to the prime breeding phase where the gobs will come to just about anything. I have to be careful. Gobs are practically crawling up my leg. By the time our season starts, all that's over and done with and they've entered the latent phase.
