Well i slept in because of rain this morning, i got to camp about 11 after the rain had moved out and found some gobbler and hen tracks in the road walking in, after a few calls a bird gobbles at a crow, a few more calls nothing but he gobbles again at the crow closer now, i hear him drumming and two step out at 25 steps and i didn't have a shot to thick, let them walk off and moved about 30 minutes later and got to a plot behind where i was setup and a hen was cutting, i matched everything she did and a bird gobbled and was coming, at 2:10 this bird steps out and i take my first bird of the season, a Clay Townsend osage pot with his snake wood striker and my first shot with the foxtrot crusher 9's.

Good job buddy. The last 2 days have been rough down here in Southwest Ms. Came close this morning. Be back for round 3 tomorrow.
Thank you guys!! I followed up a great opener with the dreaded MISS! called in two birds that gobbled good mid day, they came out and looked nervous and i rushed the shot, when i ran up there i saw them both running and putting, hopefully without harm.
Sweet congrats
