I'm looking for some help on my Florida License. As a non-resident, can I purchase the 10 day hunting license instead of the annual license? Looks like the Turkey permit is only offered as an annual permit.
So looks like $171.50 total to go turkey hunting in Florida for 10 days?
You got it! That's the way it works. If things work out, as the turkey permit is good for a full year from the start date, it is possible to hunt two years with the single turkey permit. I did that this year.

Doesn't work that way anymore I don't believe. My license says it expires March 1, 2023. I purchased it March 11.
Yes you can buy the 10 day, Turkey permit is annual
If you are hunting public land you will also need the wma permit. $25 I think.
Cost of the wma permit the same for everyone. Being able to use a short term 10 day license is the good deal for those doing the week's trip down with the family. Very few states do this.

If so, that is a recent change, and it may be true, but I just returned from my annual Florida turkey hunting trip. I purchased my Turkey Permit last year effective 3/8/21 with an expiration date of 3/8/22. I purchased a 10 day hunting license effective 3/5/21 and expiring 3/14/21. (I hunted 3/5-3/7 this year.) I have hunted south Florida since 1995 and have taken advantage of this a few times.
Here is mine that I just bought the other day. My turkey permit from last year is still valid until 3/22 and then my new permit will be valid from 3/23 until 3/23/23. So depending upon season timing and when you want to hunt, I guess it would be possible to hunt 2 different seasons on one permit.

That is correct, I killed an Osceola this year with the license and permit I brought last year.

I stand corrected.....
I knew it used to be this way. So I was surprised at what I thought I saw. Mine says it expires on 3/11/23..... I had read it as 3/1/23....guess I'm getting old.
If you do it just right you can hunt like you indicated on 1 license.
