Have any of you members or older members been receiving PM Messages from NEW members with very few posts wanting to sell you a call that either has a long delivery time from a builder or the call has some rarity value lately? Just curious.. It's like they are trying to bypass the classified rules ... do you buy from these members or do you just pass on the items or calls ? This year is the first time I've had this happen from low post count members. I'm interested in What Shannon thinks about this taking place on the forum.
I haven't had any of that thankfully
I haven't.
Sounds like a scam

Yep, classic scam move to get it out of the view of others like that. Don't bite.
WTB post are the quickest way to attract scammers. First and last time I put up a WTB ad. on another site I got 3 BS. PM's.
Typical response seems to be I have a friend who has what you want buddy, they they give you an email address.
I do not need anything that bad and have never posted WTB. again!
Not I
We have two types ...scammers and people trying to circumvent the rules put in place to protect YOU
Send me a link to Thier profile ...and they will be gone
Simple as that
If you want to sell stuff here , you need to put forth the effort and be a contributing member who posts
If you look on ebay there is some sketchy calls being sold Fred cox wingbone $43.21 seller has no feedback. They maybe behind this
I had a message this morning about some Spin Tight archery vanes that they saw in a post I like to shoot. Nothing that I think would be high priced but the rules say don't buy from people with less than 50 posts so I do not. That and they asked me to make an offer which always turns me off so I did not bother to even reply.
Seems simple to me. Private site, new members welcome IF you follow the guidelines set by the owner/administrators. When I joined the site, I read the rules, they are very clear. If someone is willing to overlook the rules, and try to sell members items on this site, you better be prepared that you might get scammed. The ones that engage in this are "hit and run" people that try to make a living off stealing monies. My suggestion here is to follow the rules, and you have a real good chance you will enjoy the sites benefits.
I haven't received any of the messages. I can't stand a thief or scammer
Yes on my WTB on a Dawkins Box a little over a week ago I kept getting repeated PMs from a few different names saying they had a friend that had one and to message them at a email address. When asked if they were on this site the answer was no and again told me to email the address all of which were off the wall too. Obviously I didn't bite. Pretty quick to pick up on it being a scam when the messages literally had 2-3 posts tops.

I'm a mod on another forum and that's a common scam. Me and another guy have took to taking turns posting dumb WTB adds and getting them to message us about their "friend" and their email. We generally ban 1 a day on average, occasionally 2-3 a day.
