does this have a backbore barrel?

No the 535 doesn't have the .775 overbored barrel like the 835 and the 935 models.  They do shoot all the same length shells up to 3.5" like the 835 and 935.

Agreed.  I think it's basically a 500 with a 3.5" chamber.

I would'nt go with the 535. IMO, the overbored 835 is the way to go.

I like my 535 a lot.  I have a 20" barrel.  Throws a good pattern with an Indian Creek tube.
