Anyone run one of these?

This is my first box call. Seems to be high pitched when making long strokes of the paddle for a slow yelp. Doesn't sound very good. Sounds better when making short, fast strokes of the paddle.Tried sanding edges of the box and bottom of paddle then reapplying chalk but no change.

Makes a nice gobble though when putting a rubber band around it in the correct spot and shaking the call.

Box calls have specific spots where they run good and or produce certain tones etc

They not used really with full length strokes

I'm not sure about the lil hook up but I run the regular hook up. I have called in birds on several different occasions with it, one being on public land. I think mine sounds pretty solid and the birds obviously like it
