Title: Difference in 3” and 3 1/2” poi
Post by: slave601 on February 17, 2022, 11:55:18 AM
Has anyone ever seen a difference in poi when shooting a 3" vs 3 1/2? Same brand shell, shot size and of course same gun? Per say apex #9s in 3" and 3 1/2s

Wish I could help but I have up on the 3 1/2" shells years ago. My fillings were taking a beating lol. But I would say if you are going from 3" to 3 1/2" you should be good since you have a 1/4 ounce more shot. But I would still pattern since I am an anal retentive type person. I would say just fire one shell at 40 yards and make any minor adjustments

Any change in loads can cause an impact shift.
Always shoot to confirm is good advice.

My mossberg 930 shooting 3" shells has different impact with federal tss and 3" Winchester xx turkey loads. Must pattern to find out.
