Title: Freezer find
Post by: 3bailey3 on February 06, 2022, 08:37:25 PM
I was making some room for some deer sausage and found a turkey from last season and cooked it tonight and it tasted like one that had just been harvested.. I always cook with pickles and jalapeno's but buddy told me to try some onions and man they were good!

This is a good idea for the the Superbowl, I've got some frozen I need to use. Looks great, thanks for the idea!

Good find!  I sometimes put it on a skewer - onion, pickle, nugget, onion, pickle, nugget, etc. Then roll it in wet batter, roll it in crushed cornflakes and fry.

I am planning on fixing one this sat for a buddy of mine and his wife who are coming up from the city. He has never had it before but some mutual friends of ours were telling him he had to try it. Always try to keep a few squirreled away for occasions like that. May cook up some venison as well.
